I cannot believe that the purpose of life is to be happy. I think the purpose of life is to be useful, to be responsible, to be compassionate. It is, above all to matter, to count, to stand for something, to have made some difference that you lived at all.

my blog is full of things i love; things that inspire me; things that look beautiful; things that sound right; things that bring memories; things that make me laugh. i believe that the world is a beautiful place if you let it be, and this blog is my snapshot of good things in the world. it is mostly the creation of others; their words, their photos, their food, their television, their movies, their vision. but every now and then, there's a peek into my life.
